Social Media Resilience Course

SMaRT-EU will create a blended course with a mixture of teaching and learning styles for educators who work with both young people and over 50s.

The course will cover topics such as;

• Introducing fake news
• Knowing what fake news is
• Awareness of virality and trending in social media
• The credibility of the sources in a media context
• Promoting (social) media and digital literacy
• Critical understanding of information consumption (and influence of algorithms)
• Communication skills in the networked society
• Individual responsibility: content creation and sharing skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Promoting, discussing and presenting fact-checking tools
